Have you seen “The OA”? The second season dropped recently on NetFlix – it was in my queue and I finally sat down and binge watched both seasons.
I’ve now binge watched both seasons three times! A little obsessed maybe? If you haven’t seen it yet, stop what you’re doing right this minute and go queue it up! Coming up are spoilers!
This show had me on the edge of my seat. The storytelling and character development is complex. It was easy to identify with the characters despite the very bizarre circumstances they found themselves in. The show doesn’t flinch away from exploring the moral ambiguity in complex relationships and situations – this is something I plan to write more about – maybe after the 5th or 6th time I’ve watched the series through. With my own pseudo-NDE experience still imprinted on my soul – this story, with all its bizarre twists and turns, metaphorically as well as literally, resonated deeply with me. In a future post I’ll expand more on my own metaphysical experiences and how they paralleled with some of the scenes in the show. All I can say for now is – *WOW* – and just marvel at what this scifi, fantasy, mystical series is exploring, telepathic trees, a mind reading octopus, a deadly spooky “haunted” house, dimension jumping, alternate selves, the garden of forking paths. I’m eager to see just how the story will expand in the next season. Go – watch it now!
